HE Dr. Farida Allaghi served as the senior advisor to His Royal Highness Prince Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development Organizations in Saudi Arabia. With expertise spanning civil society, human rights, democracy, women’s issues, youth, and public policy, she is a sought-after Regional and International Consultant. Dr. Farida previously held roles as the Executive Director of the Mentor Foundation, focusing on youth drug misuse prevention, and as Director of the Woman and Child Division at the Arab Gulf Program. She's also led initiatives like the Arab Council for Children and the Arab Network for Civil Society. Dr. Allaghi contributes to the United Nations' Arab Human Development Report and advises on the Johns Hopkins Comparative Non-profit Sector Project. Despite 25 years of exile in Lebanon, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia due to her advocacy for human development and rights, she holds a Ph.D. in Sociology Planning, and Development from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, USA.
