Amer Khayatt - Iraq

Dr. Amer Khayatt is the Secretary General of The Arab Anti-Corruption Organization, a non-profit independent civil institution that seeks to promote good governance and democratic values in Arab Society.  Amer first started his career in academia as an assistant professor in Iraq then established the National Centre for Consultancy: an advisory institution at the Iraqi Board of Planning. He sat on the board of the institution as Chairman of and Director General. He also was a consultant in project planning and management in London for over two decades. Through various executive positions, Amer developed an interest in solving problems associated with corruption in the construction industry and corporate governance. This has led him to his current position with the Arab Anti-Corruption Organization. He has also served as an Iraqi Representative at the Economic Commission for Western Asia (ECWA). Dr. Khayatt has published various articles which have appeared in Arabic and English across the UK, Canada and Arab countries. Amer holds a Master’s and a Doctorate of Civil Engineering from The University of Manchester.
