Dr. Salwa Khoury is an Adjunct Associate Professor; she has been teaching Macroeconomics and International Business at the American University in Dubai for the past 10 years. She also does asset management work for her family businesses. Dr. Khoury's seat on the selection board for the Excellence in Education category comes from her extensive experience and contributions to the education sector. Throughout her career, she has also taught at the Emirates Banking Institute in Sharjah and at the Centre for American Education in Dubai. She is a Member of the Board of Trustees of Balamand University, Lebanon, the International Board of Regents, Bethlehem University (Occupied Territories), the Board of Directors, World Links – Arab Region, Jordan, and the Board of Trustees for the Children’s Cancer Center, Lebanon. Salwa holds a PhD in Economics at the University of California with concentrations in Urban and Regional Economics, Monetary Economics, and Development Economics.
