In addition to the honorary distinctions, TAKREEM presents each year an award to one individual or institution in 9 different categories. Together they form the pillars on which societies are built and thrive.
The selection process of TAKREEM laureates is based on an objective mechanism, via a two-stage process which ensures candidates’ credentials are fully evaluated and assessed by different bodies.
In the beginning, potential candidates are compiled through public nominations and TAKREEM research.
Then the Selection Board, whose members are well-established professionals, screens and shortlists the candidates.
Finally, the Jury Board – made up of renowned political, cultural, economic and humanitarian figures - evaluates the selected nominees and votes for one laureate for each of the nine categories.
The grading is confidential. The names of all winners remain confidential until the ceremony. Throughout the review process, TAKREEM team only serves as an advisor. It does not participate in the evaluation process.
