Saouma BouJaoude, TAKREEM Selection Board Member, will be receiving the NARST 2020 Distinguished Contributions to Science Education through Research Award (DCRA). This honor recognizes his professional accomplishments as the most significant among other researchers nominated for the DCRA this year. Saouma is the associate dean at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at AUB. Bou Jaoude is an engaged scholar who has impacted science education at the local, regional, and international level. He has had his work published in international journals such as the Journal of Research in Science Teaching (JRST), Science Education, International Journal of Science Education, and others. In addition to that, he has contributed chapters to English and Arabic textbooks, edited one book, and presented his work at science education conferences. He is a member of several international science education research associations.
