Nadim Khouri - Lebanon

Dr. Nadim Khouri is an independent researcher on sustainable development and food security, presently supporting the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program: a multi-agency investment initiative hosted by the World Bank. He is also working on food security with the Arab Spatial Website managed by the Cairo office and the International Food Policy Research Institute. Previously, Nadim held operational and leadership positions at the World Bank, the International Fund for Agricultural Development and the United National Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia. His responsibilities included the design and implementation of strategies and investments for economic regional integration, as well as rural development and natural resources management. This included working in economic, social and environmental development in the Middle-East, North Africa, South Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. He is now based in Washington, DC. Dr. Nadim Khouri has a PhD in Agronomy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, an MSc from the Rural Economics Department of Wye College and a BSc and MSc in Agronomy from the American University of Beirut.
