Dr. Walid Alami is the current president of the Palestinian Health Care Society and a current Board Member of International College of Beirut Alumni Association.
Walid Alami is an Interventional Cardiologist at CMC. Since 1996, he was in practice in Arizona and was involved in multiple research projects, especially those pertaining to interventional cardiology. During his tenure with the Arizona Heart Institute and Hospital, Dr. Alami was Director of the Cardiac Catherization Laboratories, Chairman of the Medicine Department, and Director of the Heart Failure Clinic. In addition to that, Walid has invested special interest in the field of coronary and peripheral vascular disease diagnosis and intervention. He is also a specialist in treating varicose veins with minimally invasive techniques, using laser technology.
He is board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He is also a former member of Palestine Children Relief Fund (PCRF), Arizona chapter. Dr. Alami holds a BS in Chemistry from the American University of Beirut and from the University of Oklahoma, School of Medicine. He is board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.
