Dr. Walid Alami was the past president of the Palestinian Health Care Society in Lebanon, former Board member of the International College of Beirut Alumni Association and former member of Palestine Children Relief Fund (PCRF), Arizona chapter. Walid Alami is currently an Interventional cardiologist at Chesapeake $ Washington Heart Care. Previously, Walid was an Interventional Cardiologist at CMC. He was in practice since 1996 and was involved in multiple research projects, especially those pertaining to interventional cardiology. During his tenure with the Arizona Heart Institute and Hospital, Dr. Alami was Director of the Cardiac Catherization Laboratories, Chairman of the Medicine Department, and Director of the Heart Failure Clinic. In addition to that, Walid has invested special interest in the field of coronary and peripheral vascular disease diagnosis and intervention. He is also a specialist in treating varicose veins with minimally invasive techniques, using laser technology. He is board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He is also a former member of Palestine Children Relief Fund (PCRF), Arizona chapter. Dr. Alami holds a BS in Chemistry from the American University of Beirut and from the University of Oklahoma, School of Medicine. He is board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.
