A Humanitarian and social work specialist, holding a Master’s of Science in International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE), and a BA in Political Studies from the American University of Beirut (AUB). Thuraya has been working for over 17 years in the field of human and social development in general and children and youth empowerment in particular; from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to the League of Arab States to Executive Director of Mentor Arabia Foundation. Throughout her regional and international on-ground experience in strategic planning, policy development, and capacity building, she enlightens thousands of youth regarding positive behaviours and healthy lifestyles. Along with the numerous projects and initiatives under her leadership, she is the first Arab specialist to win the European Union’s “Leading Practitioner Honor” award; which makes her a great inspiration and mentor for many youths around the globe. She has also released several publications in the fields of social development and international affairs.
