Born in Lebanon from a French father and Armenian mother, Lara studied a few years in Djémaran (Armenian school) then continued her scholarship in the Mission Laïque Française in Beirut. She has two university degrees: Economics (University St Joseph of Beirut) and an MBA in Management of Information Systems (Paris Dauphine). She started in 1992 her career as a corporate senior executive at Unilever. Within the 18 years of service, she operated in different capacities: Project manager reorganizing the ice-cream business distribution network; Head of procurement for flexible packaging supply covering €500 Million spend across 127 factories worldwide and; Corporate program director for Unilever Global Supply Chain transformation impacting 78,000 people, 400 brands, +300 facilities, 180 countries. Impact: increased sales, improved margin, cash release, reduction of CO2 and attraction and retention of the best talents. After a sabbatical year, she sets her own consultancy firm (Lara Moutin Consulting) in 2012 to operate as an independent international consultant. She helps CEOs design and drive systemic transformational projects enabling them get to the full potential of their business by delivering simultaneously Economic, Social & Environmental impact. In parallel to her day consultancy work, five days post-Beirut blast 2020, she set with the help of Emergency Architects, ‘Windows For Beirut’, a humanitarian NGO under the aegis of Fondation Architectes du Monde. Working hand in hand with the ecosystem of local actors including the local NGOs, Windows For Beirut rehabilitated 691 people’s houses to allow them get back to their home and lives. She also conducted a massive sustainable development initiative in Bab El Ramel, Tripoli north Lebanon in 2021.
