Lara Nader Mouawad - Lebanon

Born and raised in Lebanon, Lara attended the Grand Lycée before obtaining my degree in Graphic Design and Advertising at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts (ALBA) in Beirut. In 1994 she joined the creative team at Grey Worldwide Advertising. She relocated to Dubai 5 years later to join her husband and has been living there ever since . She has been involved in many artistic and cultural events and worked as a freelancer on personal and commissioned projects. Most recently, lara participated in the set-up of the Lebanese Pavilion for the Venice Art Biennale; she was the Head of Edition and Graphic and Media design. About 3 years ago, in the aftermath of the Beirut blast and the economic crisis partly ensuing from the pandemic, she started Lenabni, a sustainable platform that encourages and supports the work of NGOs and social enterprises in Lebanon by helping them develop their craft and creativity while promoting their products abroad. She truly believes that acknowledging Lebanon’s rich history, its art and culture, as well as its talented people - who have made their mark in the world in various ways - is key to saving and protecting our country’s essence and sense of identity.
