With proven skills in managing multi-party disputes, Haffar is a highly skilled negotiator who is also a registered representative of the Securities and Futures Authority (UK, June 2002) and the National Association of Securities Dealers Inc (NASD Series 7, July 1997). Tarek Haffar began his career at Merrill Lynch in London, where he was the First Vice President of Investments. In this role he focused on providing Investment Banking, Asset Management and Private Equity exclusively to ultra-high-net-worth royal families acting as institutions themselves. During his time at Merrill Lynch Haffar generated over $30 million USD in revenue, with $1.2 billion USD of assets under management. Haffar then moved on to Credit Suisse, where he focused on providing Investment Banking, Private Equity and Asset Management to sovereign wealth funds, institutional and governmental investors, and his key clients: ultra-high-net-worth families and royals (acting as institutions themselves). Based in Dubai, Haffar worked at Credit Suisse from 2007 to 2014 as the Managing Director and an Investment Partner. His clients included Aabar Investments PJS and the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC). Haffar holds a B.A. degree in Business and a master’s degree in Financial Economics from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. Haffar continues with his education today. He is currently in his second year of studying for his PhD (doctorate in Public Administration) at Cerdap France (University of Grenoble, Faculty of Legal Economics).
