Karim Abdel-Motaal is CEO and CIO of KAM Portfolio Management a Macro Emerging Markets hedge fund.  He was previously head of Emerging Markets at GLG Partners where he ran a $3.3 billion portfolio of funds. Prior to that he was Global Head of Emerging Markets at Morgan Stanley where he ran trading and sales activities inclusive of local operations in Brazil, Hong Kong, Korea and Dubai.  Karim has a PhD in Economics from Harvard University.  He is Egyptian and Swiss and lives in London with his wife and two children.
