HE Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer serves as the Chairman of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society and the Dasman Diabetes Institute. He has played a pivotal role in establishing the institute as the premier diabetes specialty center in the Gulf Region, introducing innovative diabetes-focused healthcare education in Kuwait. Additionally, Dr. Al-Sayer is the Founder and Chairman of the Kuwait Association for the Care of Children in Hospital, delivering targeted services within government hospitals across Kuwait. As President of the Bayt Abdullah Children’s Hospice, he spearheads the first hospice of its kind in the Middle East. With a distinguished career, he has held key positions such as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Surgical Department at Amiri Hospital and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Kuwait University. He also served as a visiting professor at the Surgical Department of Aberdeen University for five years. Dr. Al-Sayer holds a medical degree from Cairo University and has received numerous medical certificates and diplomas in surgery.
